Damon Wayans Jr. to Star in Bounty Hunter Comedy at NBC’s Peacock

Damon Wayans Jr. is reuniting with Happy Endings series’ creator David Caspe and former writers Matthew and Daniel Libman for a half-hour bounty hunter comedy at NBCU’s streaming platform Peacock.

The Libman brothers will also pen this action-comedy that revolves around a struggling married couple who become bounty hunters.

Wayans Jr., is starring and executive producing the project under the first-look deal his Two Shakes Entertainment company has with CBS TV Studios. That relationship was just been extended for another two years.

CBS TV Studios is producing the untitled bounty hunter comedy with Universal Television where Caspe is under an overall deal. Matthew and Daniel Libman, Kameron Tarlow of Two Shakes and Caspe via Shark Vs. Bear will also executive produce the show. Ian Durney will produce for Shark Vs. Bear.

This project will serve as a reunion for Caspe, the Libman brothers, and Wayans Jr., who all worked on Happy Endings together. Wayans Jr. starred on the show from its first in 2011 to its final episode on May 3, 2013.

As an actor, Wayans Jr., consistently among the most sought-after comedy actors for pilots over the last decade, recently starred on the CBS series Happy Together.  And his production company, Two Shakes Entertainment, which he launched two years ago, has sold a number of high-profile projects.
