Disney dashed straight through to Christmas with the official trailer to ‘Dashing Through The Snow’ starring Lil Rel Howery, Ludacris, Teyonah Parris and more.
Set in Atlanta, Dashing Through The Snow is a hilarious and touching story about a social worker for the Atlanta police department and the Christmas Eve journey with his estranged daughter that helps him to remember the joy and magic of the yuletide season.
Tim Story is directing and executive producing the film based Scott Rosenberg’s script. Oscar Nunez, Gina Brillon, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Ravi Patel, Marcus Lewis and Madison Skye Validum also star in the upcoming Disney holiday comedy.

The official synopsis reads: Eddie Garrick (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges) is a good-hearted man who has turned his back on Christmas due to a traumatic childhood experience. At the request of his wife Allison Garrick (Teyonah Parris), from whom he is separated, Eddie takes his 9-year-old daughter Charlotte (Madison Skye Validum) to work with him on Christmas Eve, where they meet a mysterious man in a red suit named Nick (Lil Rel Howery). Eddie, who is a social worker, thinks the man is delusional and needs professional help, but when he evokes the wrath of a local politician (Oscar Nuñez), he and his daughter are taken on a magical adventure that just might restore his faith in Christmas.

Dashing is also Story’s first time working with Disney, and he found the studio’s cultural significance both daunting and exciting. “[I’ve] always been into entertaining adults and teenagers, or whatever the case may be, but how do you entertain kids?” Story questions. “And, of course, knowing that you want to do justice for the Disney brand and so forth.”
“Anytime I was able to decorate a room or a place, it’s Disney, so you also try to take it just a little bit farther than maybe it would [go elsewhere],” Story continues. “And that’s always been fun, to just go for it and recreate Christmas. It brought me back to my childhood.”
The film is produced by Will Packer through his Will Packer Productions, and John Jacobs through his Smart Entertainment. Johanna Byer, Ross Fanger and Zac Unterman are also executive producing alongside Story.
