Young Vic/West End’s acclaimed revival of Arthur Miller’s ‘Death of a Salesman’ starring Wendell Pierce and Sharon D Clarke is coming to Broadway’s Hudson Theatre this fall. The limited engagement will run for on 17 weeks only, beginning on September 19, 2022.
Miranda Cromwell is directing this revival. Cromwell co-directed the London production alongside Marianne Elliott. Together, they won the 2020 Olivier Award for Best Direction.
Pierce and Clarke will reprise their roles as Willy and Linda Loman in a revival-told for the first time on Broadway-from the perspective of an African American family. André De Shields and Khris Davis joining Pierce and Clarke as their new cast of supporting actors. This powerful interpretation of Miller’s classic drama illuminates the dark underbelly of the American Dream and its elusive promise of equality and opportunity for all.
Cindy Tolan, Elliott & Harper Productions and Kwame Kwei-Armah are producing Death of a Salesman. Pierce was nominated for an Olivier Award for his performance as Willy Loman; Clarke, currently nominated for a Tony Award for Caroline, Or Change, won an Olivier for her performance as Linda Loman.
Presale tickets for Death of a Salesman will be available, exclusively to Audience Rewards members and American Express Card Members, from June 8 at 10 a.m. through June 11 at 9:59 a.m. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, June 11 at 10 a.m.
