Druski Is Hosting the 2026 BET Awards — and He’s Already Laying Down the Rules [VIDEO]

The 2026 BET Awards just got a whole lot more interesting. Druski has been announced as the host of this year’s show, airing live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. At 31, he becomes the youngest person to ever host the BET Awards, narrowly edging out Kevin Hart, who first hosted in 2011 at the same age.

And if his announcement video is any indication, Druski is not coming to play it safe.

“I told BET if I’m hosting, we gon’ do this my way,” Druski said. “Rule No. 1: Jamie Foxx, take that big ass hat off. Rule No. 2: Sexyy Red? No leggings, rompers, or bodysuits. Rule No. 3: YNs, take the ski masks off. Rule No. 4: Megapastors — I’ve been getting the DMs and the threats. Just leave it up to God. We gon’ lock them doors and can’t nobody get out. Welcome to the 2026 BET Awards.”

In his own words, in a statement: “I grew up watching the BET Awards and, to know the comedic legends that hosted before me set the bar so high, I’m just grateful to be a part of the history. But I’m still bringing my brand of comedy to the stage, so expect a little chaos, a lot of laughs and some of your favorite Druski characters to pop out along the way.”

Druski has been on a different level lately. Earlier this year, he stepped in as a commentator on The Voice, and back in March, a parody video he posted racked up nearly 200 million views on X alone. He also made history in December 2025 as the first comedian to cover Billboard’s No. 1s issue, off the strength of his appearances on Justin Bieber’s Swag — a Grammy-nominated album that peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

Kevin Hart, who knows a thing or two about this stage, put it plainly in Billboard: “He is paving the way for so many future stars, and he’s captured the voice of his generation.”

Connie Orlando, EVP of Specials, Music Programming and Music Strategy at BET, said the network is “thrilled to have him bring his signature energy and perspective to the stage, helping set the tone for a night that celebrates the achievements and cultural impact of our community.”

Jesse Collins Entertainment produces the show, with Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay serving as executive producers alongside Orlando.

The show will simulcast across BET HER, CMT, MTV, MTV2, VH1, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, Paramount, and more. BET Experience 2026 kicks off June 25–27 ahead of the main event.

June 28. Mark it.
