Elijah Cooper Joins Cast of Disney+’s Anthology Series ‘Goosebumps’ Season 2

Elijah Cooper (‘That Girl Lay Lay’) joins the cast of the upcoming second season of Disney+’s anthology series ‘Goosebumps.’ Cooper will join lead actor David Schwimmer and series regulars Ana Ortiz, Sam McCarthy, Jayden Bartels, Galilea La Salvia, and Francesca Noel in the highly anticipated season.

The series, produced by Disney Branded Television in collaboration with Sony Pictures Television, will introduce a brand-new story, setting, and cast inspired by R.L. Stine’s internationally renowned Scholastic series, which boasts over 400 million books in print across 32 languages.

In this new season, the storyline revolves around fraternal twins Devin and Cece, portrayed by McCarthy and Bartels, as they navigate life with their recently divorced father, Anthony, played by Schwimmer. When they uncover a looming threat, they are thrust into a whirlwind of dark secrets, leading to a profound mystery involving the disappearance of four teenagers in 1994. Cooper will join the ensemble as one of their friends, alongside Noel and La Salvia.

Ortiz will take on the role of Jen, a committed police detective with deep roots in her Brooklyn neighborhood, shaped by a tragic event from her youth involving friends.

The first season of “Goosebumps” received critical acclaim, earning Certified Fresh status on Rotten Tomatoes and nominations for prestigious awards such as the PGA Award for “Outstanding Children’s Program” and the DGA Award for “Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Children’s Programs.” The premiere episode garnered significant attention, amassing 4.2 million total views globally across Disney+ and Hulu within its initial three days of release.

Created by Nicholas Stoller and Rob Letterman, with Hilary Winston serving as showrunner, the series boasts an impressive lineup of executive producers including Neal H. Moritz, Iole Lucchese, Pavun Shetty, Conor Welch, Caitlin Friedman, and Erin O’Malley.

“Goosebumps” promises to deliver another thrilling and captivating season, continuing the tradition of spine-tingling storytelling for audiences of all ages.
