First Wives Club season 2 will introduce us to a few new faces.
Lethal Weapon‘s Michelle Mitchenor joins First Wives Club season 2 as a series regular opposite Ryan Michelle Bathe, Jill Scott, and Michelle Buteau. Additionally, Essence Atkins, Gary Dourdan, Jordan Carlos, and Mikhail Keize join in recurring roles.
Developed by Girls Trip co-writer Tracy Oliver, this BET+ series is set in New York City and centers on best friends Ari (Bathe), Bree (Buteau), and Hazel (Scott), who band together after their marriages fall apart and find strength in their sisterhood — and of course a little revenge.

Mitchenor joins as Jayla Wright, a lawyer and a sorority sister of Hazel, Bree, and Ari’s. Ari will help Jayla nab a big case: providing legal counsel for entrepreneur Maxine Hart. Atkins is portraying Hart, a self-made millionaire whose business essentially is a high-end escort service. She is going through a messy divorce and proves to be quite the handful for Jayla. Humiliated and outraged when her husband has a process server serve her divorce papers during her TED Talk, Maxine is frazzled and upset and out for his blood. She meets with her lawyer, Jayla, and Kat, and is infuriated to learn that she’s going to be giving her husband a sizable chunk of her hard-earned money

CSI alum Dourdan will recur as Dr. Malcolm Reynard, the new hospital administrator at Bree’s workplace. Salt and pepper goatee gorgeous, intelligent, professional, with a sense of humor, Dr. Reynard and Bree have an instant spark. Impressed by Bree professionally and personally, Dr. Reynard wants to throw Bree’s name into the ring as the new Chief of Surgery–and he’d like to take her out to dinner to talk it over. Given both his professional and personal interest in her, things are likely to get complicated.
Jordan Carlos will recur as Curtis, Hazel’s nerdy, straightforward, on-top-of-things assistant. Curtis has been doing everything in his power to keep Hazel’s business affairs in order. However, she keeps giving him the run-around every time he needs her to sign off on something.

Mikhail Keize joins as Nigel, the younger, Jamaican boyfriend Hazel met while on tour. He is a huge distraction for Hazel. He is making Curtis’s job hard and Hazel’s goal to get her label off the ground even harder.

The series is, based on the 1996 movie of the same name and starred Diane Keaton, Bette Midler, and Goldie Hawn.
