NBC’s gripping drama Found returns for its second season this October, and the tension between Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton) and Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) has definitely escalated. The latest trailer gives viewers a chilling look at what’s to come, with Sir ominously telling Gabi, “Been a long time without a chain between us. How does it feel to be free in the open and yet still connected?”
As the psychological game between them unfolds, Sir has once again kidnapped Lacey (Gabrielle Walsh), who was taken as a child alongside Gabi. Gabi feels responsible for this horrifying turn of events, saying to Trent (Brett Dalton), “This is my fault. He took my sister as payback for what I have been doing for the last nine months.” Trent, who wasn’t present when Gabi revealed her secret at the end of Season 1, now must grapple with the truth of Gabi’s actions.
Gabi’s hope to capture Sir’s attention with a new case raises concern within her team, and getting Lacey back won’t be an easy feat. Sir is still obsessed with his twisted partnership with Gabi, seeing their connection as an unbreakable bond. This dynamic is only set to intensify, as showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll explains, “Sir is determined to punish Gabi for ending their ‘arrangement.’” The battle between them has now expanded, with Carroll teasing, “They’re in a bigger playground, so anything is possible—for both Gabi and Sir.”
Adding to the tension, Lacey must now face her abductor once again, but this time she’s no longer a vulnerable child. “She’s not a little girl anymore,” says Gabrielle Walsh, hinting at how Lacey might fight back against her real-life monster.
Season 2 also explores the fallout from Gabi’s shocking secret, as she had kept Sir locked up in her basement for months, using him like a twisted Hannibal Lecter to help solve missing persons cases. With Trent now learning the truth, his reaction could change everything. Will he uphold the law or look the other way?
Alongside this dramatic tension, the team at Mosely & Associates continues their mission to find the missing, taking on cases that the system has failed. This core mission of the show will run parallel to Gabi’s personal struggle with Sir, who continues to toy with her mind and those closest to her.
Found was created by Nkechi Okoro Carroll, who serves as showrunner and executive producer, alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and others. The cast includes Kelli Williams, Arlen Escarpeta, and Karan Oberoi.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 3, at 10/9c on NBC, as Found kicks off its second season. With higher stakes and a more dangerous game, Gabi and Sir’s battle is just getting started.
