FX has released the trailer for Season 2 of its ensemble comedy Adults, confirming Raven-Symoné among the guest stars joining the returning cast for the new season. Adults premieres August 27 on FXX and Hulu, with all eight episodes available to stream at launch and new episodes airing weekly on FXX.
Raven-Symoné plays Talia in the new season alongside fellow guest stars Gaten Matarazzo, Jake Shane, Zosia Mamet and Susie Essman, among others.
The trailer picks up with the five New York roommates slightly older but questionably wiser. Issa discovers that her boyfriend Paul Baker has a secret group of straight friends outside of their main circle and begins exploring freezing her eggs. Billie is caught pretending to have bathroom sex with a club hookup played by Matarazzo to impress people listening outside. And the group puts increasing pressure on Anton to end his dry spell.
Created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, Adults follows Samir, Billie, Paul Baker, Issa and Anton as they crash together in Samir’s childhood home and navigate the wins, losses and humiliations of being in their twenties. Over eight episodes the housemates tackle a new set of real-world questions about identity, relationships, careers and the elaborate workarounds they invent to avoid facing problems head-on.
Kronengold and Shaw executive produce alongside Nick Kroll, Sarah Naftalis, Jonathan Krisel, Alicia Van Couvering and Rob Rosell. Adults is produced by FX Productions.
