It’s been three years since P-Valley last graced Starz with new episodes, but according to Gail Bean, the wait may soon be over. The actress, who stars as Roulette in the hit drama, shared an exciting update during our sit-down at HBCU Week—along with a tease about her highly anticipated Snowfall spinoff.
“P-Valley is finished. Season 3 is in the can, Starz has it. We don’t have to do nothing else to it. If they wanted to put it out tomorrow, they could,” Bean told us. “So it’s all in their hands.”

For Bean, who joined the cast in Season 2, this next chapter is one she can’t wait for audiences to experience. “I will say I do have a standalone episode that’s just about me and my background and my family that I’m very excited about,” she shared. “Everybody killed it. We got a lot of newcomers, and Katori [Hall] and the whole P-Valley cast really put their foot in it.”
Expanded Cast for Season 3
When we last reported, Gail Bean, Bertram Williams Jr., and Thomas Q. Jones had all been promoted to series regulars, with Mea Wilkerson joining as a main cast member. Now, Starz has revealed even more additions. Nicholas G. Sims, Bella Blaq, De’Adre Aziza, Moritz J. Williams, Chaz Hodges, Brandon Dirden, and Jay Jones have all joined as recurring cast members.
They join an ensemble that already includes Nicco Annan (Uncle Clifford), Brandee Evans (Mercedes), Shannon Thornton (Miss Mississippi), J. Alphonse Nicholson (Lil’ Murda), Harriett D. Foy (Pastor Woodbine), Dan J. Johnson (Corbin), Morocco Omari (Big L.), and Dominic DeVore (Duffy).

A Look Ahead to the Snowfall Spinoff
Beyond P-Valley, Bean is also stepping into uncharted territory with the Snowfall spinoff, reprising her role as Wanda Bell-Simmons. When we last reported, the pilot was in production, and by now it may already have been shot and given an official title.
While Bean couldn’t share much, she did drop just enough to keep the anticipation alive. “I can’t say nothing about it,” before stating that audiences can expect nostalgia, Black music discovery, family, and the backdrop of South Central Los Angeles in the 1990s.
What we do know is that the spinoff picks up in the early ’90s, following Wanda as she navigates life after addiction while chasing her dreams in the West Coast rap scene. Isaiah John is set to return as Leon Simmons, with Asante Blackk, Peyton Alex Smith, and rapper Buddy joining the cast. Malcolm Spellman (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) serves as writer and executive producer, alongside several Snowfall alums.
Created by John Singleton, Snowfall became a cultural staple by portraying the rise of the crack cocaine epidemic in 1980s Los Angeles. Wanda’s journey—her struggles, redemption, and love with Leon—resonated deeply with viewers, making her the perfect character to lead the franchise forward.
With P-Valley Season 3 locked and loaded and the Snowfall spinoff moving closer to reality, Gail Bean stands at the center of two of television’s most anticipated dramas.
