Giancarlo Esposito is the latest to join Universal Pictures’ upcoming monster thriller from Radio Silence.
The untitled thriller is set to hit theaters on April 19, 2024.
He joins previously cast Will Catlett, Kathryn Newton, Angus Cloud, Melissa Barrera, Alisha Weir, Dan Stevens, and Kevin Durand. The film is being produced by Chad Villella, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, and James Vanderbilt at Project X Entertainment, while Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett make up the directing duo Radio Silence.
The script for the film, which promises to offer a fresh take on classic monster lore, was written by Stephen Shields with revisions by Guy Busick. The project falls in line with Universal’s recent hits, such as The Invisible Man and Renfield. The film is also being produced by Tripp Vinson in collaboration with Radio Silence and Project X, who all previously worked together on the successful Scream VI, which grossed $169M worldwide. Additionally, the teams collaborated on the 2022 hit film, Scream, which revitalized the beloved horror franchise.
Will Catlett is an accomplished actor with an impressive list of credits to his name. He is best known for his role as Lala in the hit CW series “Black Lightning,” which earned him critical acclaim and a loyal fanbase. Catlett has also appeared in a number of other popular TV shows, including “Love Is __” and “Chasing Life,” as well as the miniseries “Too Old to Die Young.”
In addition to his work on television, Catlett has also made a name for himself in film. He starred in the critically acclaimed movie “Queen & Slim” alongside Jodie Turner-Smith and Daniel Kaluuya, and has also appeared in films like “First Match” and “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks.” With his impressive range and natural talent, Catlett is a rising star in Hollywood and a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry.
