Since launching in 2022, HalleHolly, founded by Halle Berry and Holly Jeter, has assembled a wide-ranging slate across film and television. The company currently has 10 projects in various stages of development and production, with Berry attached to star in the majority of them.
Below is a full breakdown of every HalleHolly project currently in the works.
Film
The President Is Missing
Based on the bestselling novel by Bill Clinton and James Patterson, The President Is Missing is in development at Apple Original Films with Halle Berry starring as a gender-swapped President Joanna Duncan. The project was previously set up at Showtime as a series and went to pilot with David Oyelowo attached to star, before being derailed by the pandemic. Berry now holds the rights and is developing the story as a feature.
Bad Cop, Bad Cop
Directed by Kay Cannon, the action comedy stars Berry as a seasoned detective who mentors two inept beat cops played by Fortune Feimster and Jillian Bell.
Sunburn
Adapted from Laura Lippman’s novel, the psychological neo-noir follows a woman with multiple secret lives and a dangerous past. Berry is attached to star, with Liz Garbus set to direct.
Family Swap
Based on the French film Le Sens de la famille, the comedy centers on a family that repeatedly wakes up in each other’s bodies, forcing them to confront generational and marital tensions. Berry is attached to star.
Parole Officer
A dark thriller in which a parolee’s attempt to stay on the straight and narrow unravels after a one-night stand with his new parole officer—played by Berry—who blackmails him into escalating crimes.
Fleur
Written and directed by Ellie Foumbi, Fleur stars Halle Berry as a New York housewife who flees to Paris after 30 years of marriage and reinvents herself as an upscale escort and dominatrix. Fully financed by AGC Studios, the film explores power, reinvention, and identity as Fleur’s past threatens her carefully built new life.
Television
Zero F***s
A menopause-themed comedy in development at Peacock, the series follows three best friends—one played by Berry—who become entangled in a murder investigation while navigating midlife chaos.
The Patient
Based on the viral novella by Jasper DeWitt, the HBO series stars Berry as a famously incurable psychiatric patient whose treatment leads to disturbing consequences.
Mother Doom
A revenge drama in development at FX about a retired Special Forces operative drawn back into violence after her son’s death. Berry is executive producing and could potentially star, though no deal has been finalized.
Producer-Only
The Boy Who Knew Too Much
Based on Cathy Byrd’s memoir, the adaptation tells the true story of a young boy who claims memories of a past life as baseball legend Lou Gehrig. HalleHolly is producing; Berry is not attached to star.
