It’s Time to Clock Back In: HBO Drops First Teaser for ‘The Pitt’ Season 3

The shift is about to start again. HBO has released the first teaser for Season 3 of The Pitt, with the medical drama set to return in January 2027.

Season 3 finds Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch (Noah Wyle) back at work after four months away on sabbatical, stepping into a Pittsburgh emergency department that has been running without him. The season takes place on November 12, 2026, a day after Veterans Day, with weather playing a significant role as colder temperatures bring slick roads, house fires and a worsening homeless situation through the doors.

The full returning cast includes Wyle as Robby, Patrick Ball as Dr. Langdon, Katherine LaNasa as Dana Evans, Fiona Dourif as Dr. McKay, Taylor Dearden as Dr. King, Isa Briones as Dr. Santos, Gerran Howell as Dr. Whitaker, Shabana Azeez as Javadi, Sepideh Moafi as Dr. Al-Hashimi and Shawn Hatosy as Dr. Abbott. Luke Tennie also returns as night shift doctor Crus Henderson. Ayesha Harris receives an upgrade this season, earning a promotion to series regular as Dr. Parker Ellis.

New recurring cast members joining Season 3 include Pruitt Taylor Vince, Malachi Beasley, Cheyenne Perez, Jeremy Radin, Charlz Williams and Rosanny Zayas.

Season 2 of The Pitt is the most nominated drama series at this year’s Emmy Awards with 25 total nominations.

R. Scott Gemmill created the series and executive produces alongside John Wells, Wyle, Michael Hissrich, Erin Jontow, Joe Sachs, Simran Baidwan and Eli Attie. The series is produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

The Pitt Season 3 premieres on HBO in January 2027.
