Janelle James and Keith David Join Netflix’s Adult Animated Comedy ‘Strip Law’

Netflix is heading back to the world of adult animated comedy with Strip Law, debuting globally on February 20, 2026.

Created by Emmy-nominated writer Cullen Crawford (Star Trek: Lower Decks, M.O.D.O.K.), the 10-episode series follows uptight Vegas lawyer Lincoln Gumb (Adam Scott) whose buttoned-up personality keeps him from winning cases—until he teams up with magician/hedonist Sheila Flambé (Janelle James) to bring wild theatrics to the city’s most ridiculous cases.

The voice cast also features Stephen Root (Barry), Shannon Gisela (Unsolved Mysteries), Keith David (They Live), and Aimee Garcia (Lucifer).

Produced by Titmouse Inc. (Big Mouth, The Venture Bros.) with Underground (Snowfall), Strip Law is executive produced by Crawford, Steven Fisher, Trevor Engelson, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Ben Kalina, and Antonio Canobbio.

Crawford says, “Getting to make this show with a metric ton of geniuses has been my favorite thing I’ve ever gotten to do. I hope people find watching Strip Law to be the joyous chaotic distraction from our grim reality that making it was for me — and also, that I live to be one thousand years old.”

Netflix has been expanding its adult animation slate since BoJack Horseman, with hits like Big Mouth and Human Resources. Whether Strip Law will join that rare list of breakout animated comedies remains to be seen, but the combination of sharp comedic voices and over-the-top Vegas antics has potential to stand out.
