Keesha Sharp Joins Season 3 of Power Book II: Ghost

Keesha Sharp is joining the Powerverse. The Lethal Weapon alum has been cast as a series regular for the third season of Power Book II: Ghost.

The spinoff picks up shortly after the Power finale and follows Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.), the son of James “Ghost” St. Patrick and Tasha Green-St. Patrick, as he navigates his new life.

Mary J. Blige, Shane Johnson, Gianni Paolo, Daniel Bellomy, Paige Hurd, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Larenz Tate, Melanie Liburd, Daniel Sunjata, Berto Colon, Woody McClain, Lovell Adams-Gray, LaToya Tonodeo, Alix Lapri and Paton Ashbrook also star.

Sharp will play Professor Harper Bonet, a progressive intellectual and boho beauty.

Brett Mahoney will serve as showrunner of Season 3, and executive produces alongside Kemp via her production company End of Episode, 50 Cent through G-Unit Film and Television, Mark Canton through Atmosphere Entertainment MM and Chris Selak. Geary McLeod will serve as supervising producer and direct the season’s first episode. Lionsgate Television produces for STARZ.

Power Book II: Ghost is the first series in the expanded Power franchise from executive producers Kemp and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

The Power series is executive produced by Kemp through her production company End of Episode, Jackson through his G-Unit Film and Television, and Mark Canton through Atmosphere Entertainment MM.

Production is set to begin in early 2022.
