Amazon MGM Studios has officially announced Relationship Goals, a romantic comedy starring Kelly Rowland and Cliff “Method Man” Smith.
The film is based on Michael Todd’s New York Times bestselling book Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, and Sex. The script was penned by Laura Lekkos, with earlier drafts written by Michael Elliot and Cory Tynan. Todd’s book, inspired by his viral sermon series on love, marriage, and intimacy, spent 13 consecutive weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list and became an instant hit on Amazon.
Joining the cast is Robin Thede, the Emmy-nominated creator and star of HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show, and Annie Gonzalez, known for roles in Flamin’ Hot, Gentefied, and Lopez vs Lopez.
Directed by Emmy Award-winner Linda Mendoza, the film is produced by DeVon Franklin, with Rowland and Bart Lipton serving as executive producers. Relationship Goals also features Robin Thede and Annie Gonzalez in supporting roles.
Described as a funny yet inspiring take on modern love, Relationship Goals explores how to build and maintain healthy relationships at every stage of romance.
