Lance Reddick is reprising his role in John Wick: Chapter 4. Reddick plays Charon, the concierge of New York’s Continental Hotel who also helps John Wick (Keanu Reeves). In John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Charon fights with Wick in the High Table attacks at the hotel. Together the guys take out the strike force with Charon later rejoining Ian McShane’s Winston as his bodyguard.
He joins previously cast Shamier Anderson, Donnie Yen and Rina Sawayama, who is the female lead in Keanu Reeves-led project.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is directed by Chad Stahelski from a script by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch. However plot and character details on the lionsgate film are being kept under wraps.
Stahelski tells us, “Lance has been part of the franchise since the very beginning and has had an integral role in shaping the world of John Wick. I couldn’t be more excited to be working with him again.”
Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Stahelski are producing, with Reeves and Louise Rosner executive producing. The pic begins production this summer on location in France, Germany and Japan.
The John Wick franchise story focuses on John Wick (Reeves) who in the first chapter searched for the men who broke into his home, stole his vintage car and killed his puppy, which was a last gift to him from his recently deceased wife.
The franchise began with the release of John Wick in 2014 followed by two sequels, John Wick: Chapter 2 on February 10, 2017, and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum on May 17, 2019. The John Wick franchise, through three movies, has grossed over $584.7M WW. With the fourth installment, John Wick: Chapter 4, having a release date of May 27, 2022.
