Lifetime Drops Trailer for ‘Terry McMillan Presents: Preach, Pray, Love’ Starring Karrueche Tran and Mark J.P. Hood

Lifetime is keeping the love stories coming with the trailer debut for Terry McMillan Presents: Preach, Pray, Love, starring Karrueche Tran and Mark J.P. Hood. The film premieres Saturday, November 8 at 8/7c on Lifetime.

In Preach, Pray, Love, Tran stars as Charlie Jones, a platinum-selling rapper known for her raw lyrics, bold image, and a few too many public scandals. When her fast life lands her behind bars, she’s sentenced to community service—where she crosses paths with Pastor Kyrus Owens (Hood), a passionate minister fighting to raise funds for his church’s new home.

Their chemistry is instant, but their worlds couldn’t be more different. As Charlie finds herself drawn toward faith and a fresh start, Pastor Owens faces growing pressure from his congregation, who question whether his heart is still with the ministry. What unfolds is a love story about redemption, transformation, and the power of connection when two people dare to meet in the middle.

The film also stars Tobias Truvillion, B. Simone, Reginae Carter, and Da Brat.

Preach, Pray, Love marks the latest installment in the Terry McMillan Presents franchise, following last year’s Tempted by Love with Garcelle Beauvais and Forever starring Taye Diggs and Meagan Good.

Directed by Damon Lee and written by Michael Elliot & Cory Tynan, the film is executive produced by D’Angela Proctor for Undaunted Content, with Karrueche Tran and Damon Lee also serving as executive producers.

Preach, Pray, Love joins Lifetime’s Love of a Lifetime slate—an ongoing celebration of Black romance, faith, and second chances that continues to spotlight stories rooted in love and purpose.
