Lifetime’s Summer 2026 Slate Includes Thriller Led by Christina Milian and Coffin Thriller Led by Tahirah Sharif

Lifetime is leaning into chaos this summer. The network’s Summer 2026 original movie slate features five films, three of them ripped from real headlines, covering everything from a secret baby born at prom to a creepy funeral director with a dangerous obsession to a killer clown. Here is what is coming.

He Couldn’t Let Go | July 18 at 8/7c

Christina Milian leads this thriller as Mariana, whose quiet night at home turns into a terrifying fight for survival after an intense work encounter leaves a disgruntled colleague on the run. Steven Strait, Annie Gonzalez and Gregg Wayans also star. The film is produced by Fox Entertainment Studios in association with Neon Kite and directed by Cory Miller from a script he co-wrote with Rob Belushi. He Couldn’t Let Go is already available on Lifetime Movie Channel.

Crowning at the Prom | July 25 at 8/7c

Anwen O’Driscoll stars as Kat Walker, an obsessive overachiever on the brink of prom queen glory and a coveted athletic scholarship who is secretly concealing a late-term pregnancy. Danielle Panabaker plays her devoted single mother. When a shocking night shatters their carefully constructed facade, both women are forced to confront what they are truly willing to fight for. Claire Qute also stars. The film is produced by Neshama Entertainment in association with Fox Entertainment Studios and directed by Michelle Ouellet from a script by Mika Frank and Emily Silver.

Girl in the Coffin | August 1 at 8/7c

Tahirah Sharif stars as Sylvie Sutter, a grieving woman who finds unexpected comfort in Bill Trevett, the compassionate funeral director who handled her mother’s service, played by Robert James-Collier. But beneath Bill’s kindness lies a dangerous obsession, and when Sylvie disappears she awakens trapped inside a coffin beneath his funeral home. The film is produced by ITN Productions UK and directed by Jermain Julien from a script by Kate O’Riordan.

Killer Clown | August 8 at 8/7c

Sara Paxton plays Elizabeth Helmer, a woman haunted since childhood by witnessing her mother’s brutal murder at the hands of the Killer Clown. Decades later, when she begins investigating the long-unsolved cold case, she becomes the target of a terrifying copycat stalker. David Cubitt and Hamza Haq also star. The film is produced by Muse Entertainment and directed by Annie Bradley from a script by Katie Boland.

She Stole My Son’s Heart | August 15 at 8/7c

Taylor Hickson plays Maria, a woman in desperate need of a heart transplant who mysteriously disappears while out for a walk. Marisol Nichols stars as the homicide detective assigned to find her before her failing heart gives out, alongside Megan Peta Hill as her rookie partner. The film is produced by Bruce Harvey for CMW Springtime Production Inc. in association with Studio TF1 America and directed by Caitlyn Sponheimer from a script by Lucy Luna.
