Lynae Vanee to Launch Weekly News Series ‘The People’s Brief’ on Revolt

We love this! Lynae Vanee is bringing her signature brilliance, boldness, and Blackness to a new platform.

Revolt is officially rolling out The People’s Brief, a weekly news and commentary series hosted by Vanee, who built a loyal digital following through her viral series Parkin Lot Pimpin’. Known for blending history, culture, and unapologetic truth-telling — all in under five minutes — Vanee’s next chapter may need a little more time.

The People’s Brief premieres May 20 on Revolt and is positioned to flip the traditional news format on its head. In each episode, Vanee will break down the week’s headlines with sharp insight, satirical edge, and the same cultural grounding that’s made her one of today’s most impactful young voices.

The new series is part of Revolt’s broader vision to redefine how the next generation engages with news — not just consuming it, but connecting to it. It also marks another move in their creator-first strategy following Offscript Worldwide’s acquisition of the brand earlier this year.

“Revolt remains the trusted home for the culture’s leading voices and innovators,” said chief content officer Deon Graham. “With The People’s Brief, we’re proud to give Lynae the stage she deserves.”

For Vanee — a Spelman grad with a master’s in African American studies from Boston University — this isn’t just another gig. It’s an evolution. Already a poet, performer, writer, and host of the longform series The Let Out and the podcast Femme Time, Vanee uses every platform she touches to uplift, educate, and affirm.

“As a Black woman and creator, working with a platform that doesn’t just feature us but believes in us — that’s rare,” she shared. “We’re taking the conversations happening in real life and giving them the depth and delivery they deserve.”

The People’s Brief premieres May 20 across Revolt’s platforms.
