The film is currently being shopped at the Cannes Market
Mekhi Phifer is heading back to the action world. The actor has joined Bren Foster in Marx, an upcoming action thriller being sold by Odyssey International at the Cannes Market.
Directed by Loui Mandylor, the film follows two brothers caught in a deadly power struggle within the Las Vegas criminal underworld. Axel Marx is a fearless fighter shaped by violence who refuses to answer to anyone, while his brother Ian takes a more calculated approach, working behind the scenes to navigate dangerous criminal networks. When rival factions collide, the brothers find themselves trapped in a conflict that threatens to consume everything around them.
“Marx is exactly the kind of film we love making, intense, character-driven, and built for the global action marketplace,” producer Al Bravo said in a statement. “With Loui Mandylor directing and an incredible team behind the project, we’re excited to bring this one to Cannes.”
The film is produced by Bravo, Michael Pizzimenti, and Marc Clebanoff.
