Michael Jai White is bringing his martial arts skills to the role of a detective caught in a deadly web of corruption in Drive Through Fire, an action thriller arriving on digital and on demand September 11. The official trailer is now available.
White plays Tommy Poole, a homicide detective assigned to investigate a murder tied to a human trafficking ring. When he discovers that the people he loves are connected to the case, he makes a fateful choice, destroying evidence and framing a suspect to protect them, crossing a line that pulls him deeper into the chaos.
At the center of the story is Jason, a disgraced veteran battling opioid addiction who drives rideshare to survive his divorce. When he picks up a woman being trafficked from a luxury hotel, he takes violent action to free her, killing a corrupt congressman and setting off a chain of events that puts everyone around him in danger. With traffickers, the Russian mob and law enforcement all closing in, Jason and Tommy are forced into an uneasy alliance to rescue someone they both care about before it is too late.
Dan Bakkedahl co-stars alongside directors Jim Carlson and Jennifer Bond, who also appear in the film.
