Michelle Obama Sits Down with Robert Roberts for ABC’s ‘The Style, The Power, The Look’ Special [TRAILER}

ABC News Studios and 20/20 are teaming up for a special primetime event: Michelle Obama: The Style, The Power, The Look – A Conversation with Robin Roberts, airing Sunday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and streaming the following day on Hulu.

Filmed at Marymount University in Virginia, the in-depth conversation between Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts and former First Lady Michelle Obama explores the influence of fashion throughout Obama’s life—from designing her own prom dress to shaping her identity in the global spotlight as the first Black First Lady of the United States.

The special arrives just ahead of Obama’s new book, “The Look,” out Nov. 4 from Crown. Co-written with longtime stylist and creative consultant Meredith Koop, the book reflects on the former First Lady’s most iconic moments in style and the stories behind them.

In addition to Obama and Koop, the special features commentary from her glam team—makeup artist Carl Ray and hairstylists Yene Damtew and Njeri Radway—along with designers Diane von Furstenberg, Jason Wu, Tracy Reese, and Narciso Rodriguez, plus several fashion journalists and historians.

According to ABC, Obama also surprises current and former students who are charting their own paths in fashion, highlighting her continued commitment to education, mentorship, and empowerment.

Produced by ABC News Studios and 20/20, the special is executive-produced by Janice Johnston and Karen Leo, with David Sloan serving as senior executive producer.
