Mike Epps is kicking off 2026 with a fresh dose of sharp, self-aware comedy. The veteran comedian has officially partnered with Netflix for his newest stand-up special, Delusional, premiering January 27 on the streamer.
Delusional marks Epps’ fifth Netflix special, joining Ready to Sell Out (2024), Indiana Mike (2022), Only One Mike (2019), and Don’t Take It Personal (2015). This time around, Epps leans into the idea that a little delusion — paired with a whole lot of hustle — helped fuel his rise from Indianapolis to Hollywood.
The special is directed by Royale Watkins, who also produced alongside Ron Allchin. Epps executive produced with Mark A. Ritchie, Thomas Cobb, Niles Kirchner, Kyra Epps, and Watkins. Southpaw Productions serves as the production company.
Epps’ comedy legacy stretches back to his breakout on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam in 1995 — a stage he would eventually return to as host. Across his career, he’s released multiple specials including Under Rated… Never Faded & X-Rated and Inappropriate Behavior.
On the acting front, Epps recently wrapped a successful run on Netflix’s The Upshaws, the family sitcom set in his Indiana hometown. The series scored 10 NAACP Image Award nominations, with Epps taking home Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series in 2024.
His screen credits span series like I’m a Virgo, Survivor’s Remorse, and Winning Time, and films such as The Underdoggs, You People, Dolemite Is My Name, Troop Zero, The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Bessie, Girls Trip, and fan-favorite franchises including The Hangover and Resident Evil.
Delusional premieres January 27 on Netflix.
