Myles Truitt + 3 More Join Stranger Things 4

There are new additions to Netflix’s sci-fi series Stranger Things for its new season, titled Stranger Things 4.

Myles Truitt, Regina Ting Chen, Amybeth McNulty, and Grace Van Dien will all recur in the upcoming season, the streamer announced during its “Geeked Week” presentation Wednesday (Jun 9). They join previously announced new cast members for Stranger Things 4 that includes Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco and Joseph Quinn. They have been cast as series regulars. Robert Englund, Tom Wlaschiha, Sherman Augustus, Mason Dye, Nikola Djuricko are joining in a recurring capacity.

Truitt portrays Patrick, a Hawkins basketball star who has friends, talent, and a good life…until shocking events send his life spiraling out of control. McNulty plays Vickie, a cool, fast-talking band nerd who catches the eye of one of our beloved heroes.

Chen is Ms. Kelly, a popular guidance counselor who cares deeply for her students—especially those struggling the most. Van Dien plays Chrissy, Hawkins’ High lead cheerleader and the most popular girl in school. But beneath the seemingly perfect surface lies a dark secret.

At the end of Season 3, following the explosion, aimed at destroying the Soviet lab to the Upside Down deep under the new Starcourt Mall, Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) is seen taking her sons (Charlie Heaton, Noah Schnapp) and Eleven (Brown) out of the Indiana town to start a new life. There is a jump in geography in the final scene, which takes place in the far Eastern end of the USSR where guards are feeding a prisoner to an imprisoned Demogorgon, but “not the American.”

No actual details have been revealed about Stranger Things 4 except through snippets of teasers. One teaser reveals Harbour’s Hopper is not dead. Also, Dr. Martin Brenner, played by Matthew Modine, has returned and the series will go into more depth on the Hawkins National Laboratory. Fans were first introduced to this laboratory in season one. It was run by Brenner where he raised, trained and performed experiments on children with psychokinetic abilities, including Eleven, who called him Papa.

Created by Matt and Ross Duffer, Stranger Things is produced by Monkey Massacre Productions & 21 Laps Entertainment. The twin brothers serve as writers, directors, executive producers and showrunners on the series. They do it alongside executive producer/director Shawn Levy and exec producer Dan Cohen of 21 Laps and exec producer Iain Paterson. The series also stars Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, and Priah Ferguson.

Stranger Things 4 does not yet have a premiere date at Netflix.
