Disney+ Teases ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Special: ‘The Church on Ruby Road’ Premiere
Disney+ has released a 30-second teaser for the upcoming “Doctor Who” Christmas Special, “The Church on Ruby Road,” set to debut on December 25 at 9:55 a.m. PT / 12:55 p.m. PT.

The clip introduces Ncuti Gatwa as The Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as his new companion, Ruby Sunday, in their first adventure together. The narrative involves a Christmas Eve discovery of a baby girl on a snowy doorstep, promising mystery and the revelation of long-buried secrets.
The cast includes Davina McCall, Michelle Greenidge, Angela Wynter, and Anita Dobson. Produced by Bad Wolf in collaboration with BBC Studios and Disney Branded Television, the special is helmed by executive producers Russell T Davies, Jane Tranter, Julie Gardner, Joel Collins, and Phil Collinson.
To mark the debut, Gatwa and Gibson illuminated the London Eye, and a special London screening featured Executive Producer Russell T Davies alongside the cast.
As fans await the Christmas premiere, they can explore “Doctor Who” 60th Anniversary Specials on Disney+, such as “The Star Beast,” “Wild Blue Yonder,” and “The Giggle.” New episodes will continue streaming globally on Disney+, excluding the UK and Ireland.
