Netflix has set December 12 as the premiere date for its new half-hour dark comedy No Good Deed, starring Lisa Kudrow, Ray Romano, Teyonah Parris, O-T Fagbenle, Linda Cardellini, Abbi Jacobson, Denis Leary, Poppy Liu, and Luke Wilson.
From Dead to Me creator Liz Feldman, the streamer has also dropped a teaser trailer, giving a glimpse of the darkness and humor to come. You can watch the teaser below.
The eight-episode series centers on Kudrow and Romano’s characters, Lydia and Paul, a couple looking to move on from their empty nest. They put their stunning 1920s Spanish-style villa, located in one of Los Angeles’ most coveted neighborhoods, on the market, sparking a real estate frenzy. Several families compete to buy what they believe is their dream home, hoping it will solve their varied problems. But as Lydia and Paul know, sometimes the perfect home can become a nightmare. As they try to conceal the dark and dangerous secrets that lurk within their longtime residence, they realize the only way to escape their past is to finally confront it.
The teaser also introduces the rest of the cast, including Matt Rogers, Kate Moennig, Chloe East, Rory Scovel, Wyatt Aubrey, Kevin Alves, and Linda Lavin, with Anna Maria Horsford.
Liz Feldman serves as creator, showrunner, director, and executive producer. Silver Tree also directs and executive produces, while Christie Smith, Jessica Elbaum, and Will Ferrell executive produce for Gloria Sanchez Productions.
No Good Deed promises to combine real estate drama with dark comedy, offering a mix of laughs and tension, much like Feldman’s previous hit Dead to Me. Keep an eye out for this intriguing new series on Netflix.
