Niecy Nash and Teyana Taylor have officially joined the cast of Hulu’s new legal drama, “All’s Fair.” This Ryan Murphy production will also star Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts, Kim Kardashian, and Glenn Close. In addition to their roles, Nash, Paulson, and Watts will serve as executive producers on the series.
The show, set in an all-female law firm in Los Angeles, has been described by Murphy as a “high-end, glossy, and sexy adult procedural.” Kardashian, who is also an executive producer, will play a divorce attorney, while Close will portray the head of the firm. Specific details about the roles of Paulson, Nash, Taylor, and Watts have yet to be disclosed.
Nash’s collaboration with Murphy continues with this project, having previously worked together on the upcoming FX series “Grotesquerie.” Meanwhile, Paulson has been a frequent collaborator with Murphy on projects like “American Horror Story,” “The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story,” “Mrs. America,” and “Ratched.” Watts has also worked with Murphy, starring in “The Watcher” and “Feud: Capote vs. The Swans.”
This announcement comes shortly after Halle Berry’s departure from the series due to scheduling conflicts. However, none of the new additions are replacing Berry; instead, unique roles have been created for each actor.
“All’s Fair” marks the first series for Murphy under his new deal with Disney, produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television. The series is penned by Jon Robin Baitz, writer of Murphy’s “Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans,” and Joe Baken, who also serve as executive producers. Joining Murphy, Kardashian, Close (Trillium Productions), Paulson, Nash, Watts, Baitz, and Baken as executive producers are Jamie Pachino, Lyn Greene, Richard Levine, Kris Jenner, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, and Holly Jeter (HalleHolly). Murphy is also set to direct.
Representing the star-studded cast are CAA for Paulson, CAA, Untitled, and HJTH for Watts, Artists First, WME, and Jackoway Austen for Nash, and WME and Taylormade Management Group for Taylor.
“All’s Fair” is poised to be a standout legal drama, bringing together an impressive ensemble cast and creative team under Ryan Murphy’s visionary leadership.
