Apple’s upcoming drama series “Firebug” has rounded out its ensemble cast, adding Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (“The Lincoln Lawyer”), Rafe Spall (“Trying”), Greg Kinnear (“Black Bird”), and Hannah Emily Anderson (“The Purge”) to the mix.
These actors join the previously announced lineup, including Taron Egerton, Jurnee Smollett, and John Leguizamo.
“Firebug,” created by Dennis Lehane and produced by Apple Studios, centers on events inspired by notorious California arsonist John Leonard Orr. Taron Egerton stars as an enigmatic arson investigator alongside Jurnee Smollett, who plays a rising-star detective named Michelle.

John Leguizamo will play Esposito, a former policeman with a complex character that mixes bad habits with sharp instincts, adding depth to the narrative.
Emmy-nominated director Kari Skogland (“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” “The Handmaid’s Tale”) will direct and serve as an executive producer, adding depth to the series.
“Firebug” is part of Apple Studios’ collaboration with Imperative Entertainment, known for projects like “Black Bird” and the upcoming adaptation of David Grann’s book “The Wager.” The series promises to bring a blend of true-crime intrigue and character-driven drama to Apple’s Originals lineup.
