Omar Sy’s Gentleman Thief Returns: Netflix Sets Fall 2026 Premiere for ‘Lupin’ Part 4

Keep an eye on your diamonds — Lupin is officially gearing up for its next great heist. Netflix has confirmed that the smash French mystery thriller will return with Part 4 in fall 2026, marking the long-awaited continuation of Assane Diop’s story nearly three years after Part 3 concluded in October 2023.

Omar Sy is back as the world’s favorite gentleman thief, a role that has helped turn Lupin into one of Netflix’s most successful non-English-language series. Production on the new chapter has been underway since May, promising another sleek, high-stakes adventure through the streets — and shadows — of Paris.

Created by George Kay in collaboration with François Uzan, the series draws inspiration from Maurice Leblanc’s iconic literary character Arsène Lupin. Kay and Uzan continue to shape the story with the participation of Marie Roussin, Florent Meyer, and Tigran Rosine. Sy returns as co-showrunner alongside director Louis Leterrier, reinforcing the creative partnership that helped define the show’s signature tone and swagger.

The cast once again includes Ludivine Sagnier as Claire Laurent, Antoine Gouy as Benjamin Férel, Soufiane Guerrab as Youssef Guédira, Shirine Boutella as Sofia Belkacem, Etan Simon as Raoul Diop, and the Pellegrini family’s Clotilde Hesme, Nicole Garcia, and Hervé Pierre. New episodes are directed by Edouard Salier, Everardo Gout, and Hugo Gélin.

Part 3 left viewers with a cliffhanger worthy of Assane himself: after stealing the Black Pearl, faking his own death, protecting his mother, and attempting to shield his family from further danger, Assane turned himself in. The final moments saw him behind bars — but with a full collection of Arsène Lupin novels to keep him company. Whether prison can truly hold him for long remains the central mystery heading into Part 4.

Produced by Gaumont with the participation of Carrousel Studios, the series returns with eight new 45-minute episodes that promise even bigger twists, deeper mythology, and the Parisian intrigue fans crave. The creative team emphasizes that the additional production time has allowed them to expand the world and raise the stakes in meaningful ways.

With Lupin’s next chapter officially locked for fall 2026, fans can revisit Parts 1–3 now on Netflix while waiting for Assane Diop’s next move. As always, expect the unexpected — especially when Paris’ most charming thief is involved.
