‘P-Valley’ Season 3 Trailer: New Money Brings New Trouble to The Pynk

STARZ has released the official trailer for the third and final season of P-Valley, offering a first look at the conclusion of Katori Hall’s acclaimed drama. The season returns to the fictional Mississippi town of Chucalissa, where the opening of the Promised Land Casino floods the town with money and introduces new complications for its residents, while existing conflicts continue to unfold. The season premieres December 4 with a double-episode debut, followed by new episodes weekly on Fridays.

As the casino draws dreamers, schemers, and hustlers from all over, Uncle Clifford, played by Nicco Annan, begins eyeing opportunities to expand The Pynk, only to run into trouble when Roulette, played by Gail Bean, breaks the club’s cardinal rule while building power of her own. Lil’ Murda, played by J. Alphonse Nicholson, continues pursuing his music career and growing closer to Uncle Clifford, even as his ties to the streets threaten both his rising success and their future together. Keyshawn, played by Shannon Thornton, continues one of the series’ most prominent storylines, fighting to break free from an abusive relationship and build a better life for herself and her children.

Season 2 ended with Uncle Clifford working to protect The Pynk’s future while reconnecting with Lil’ Murda, Mercedes, played by Brandee Evans, beginning to reconsider her future as a dancer, and Roulette establishing herself as an increasingly influential presence at the club. Returning cast members include Harriett D. Foy as Mayor Woodbine, Dan J. Johnson as Corbin, Psalms Salazar as Whisper, Loretta Devine as Ernestine, and Morocco Omari as Big L.

Hall, who adapted the series from her own stage play Pussy Valley, remains showrunner and executive producer, directing both premiere episodes and five episodes total this season; co-executive producer Jennifer Arnold directs four additional episodes. P-Valley has been a significant performer for STARZ throughout its run, with Season 2 averaging 11.6 million viewers across the network’s combined platforms, and more than 236 million total hours watched since the series debuted in 2020.

With a casino now reshaping the town’s economy and nearly every central relationship heading into its own breaking point, P-Valley‘s final season is positioning Chucalissa’s biggest influx of money as the very thing most likely to tear it apart.
