Paramount+ has greenlit a third season of “Skymed,” the medical drama set against the backdrop of Northern Canada’s remote skies. Produced by Piazza Entertainment, the forthcoming nine-episode installment is slated to commence production on Monday, March 25, spanning locations in Manitoba and Ontario.
This season, viewers can anticipate fresh additions to the cast, with Aaron Ashmore, known for his portrayal of Wheezer, stepping up as a series regular. Joining the ensemble are Anthony Grant, recognized from “Star Trek: Discovery,” and Nicola Correia-Damude of “Shadowhunters” fame, in recurring roles.

Grant embodies TJ, a charismatic pilot concealing personal burdens, while Correia-Damude takes on the role of Marianne, a city transplant navigating life in the North. Their characters inject new dynamics into the tight-knit SkyMed team, grappling with internal strife and confronting perilous missions against the wilderness.
Returning for Season 3 are series regulars Natasha Calis, Morgan Holmstrom, Praneet Akilla, Mercedes Morris, Thomas Elms, Kheon Clarke, and Sydney Kuhne. Additionally, recurring characters portrayed by Aason Nadjiwon and Emilia McCarthy make their anticipated comebacks, with Braeden Clarke returning as a guest star.
“Skymed,” created by Julie Puckrin and inspired by her family’s experiences in air ambulance services, is a collaboration between Piazza Entertainment, CBC, and CBS Studios.
