Peacock has released the trailer and key art for Season 2 of The Paper, the mockumentary comedy from Greg Daniels and Michael Koman. All ten episodes premiere September 9 on Peacock.
The series follows the same documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch in the Emmy Award-winning The Office, who have found a new subject in a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it. Season 2 picks up after the paper sweeps the Ohio Journalism Awards, with Ned now searching for a journalistic crusade that leads him to take on a local private club, a move that puts the paper itself in jeopardy. Meanwhile Ned and Mare continue to navigate their growing attraction and Esmeralda struggles to find her place on staff as the team gradually matures as reporters.
The series stars Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore alongside Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Tim Key, Ramona Young, Eric Rahill, Duane Shepard Sr., Alex Edelman and Oscar Nuñez. Guest stars this season include Jon Lovitz, Andy Richter, Lisa Gilroy, Matt Braunger, Toks Olagundoye and Phil Hendrie.
Daniels and Koman co-create, co-showrun and executive produce alongside Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, Ben Silverman and Banijay Americas. The series is produced by Universal Television.
