Power of the Dream Documentary Highlights Trailblazing Women Athletes and is Set to Premiere June 18 Exclusively on Prime Video
Prime Video unveiled the official trailer and key art for its upcoming documentary, “Power of the Dream.” Scheduled for an exclusive release on June 18, the feature-length film will be available for streaming in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
“Power of the Dream” tells the inspiring and improbable true story of a group of professional women’s basketball players who stood up against a WNBA team owner and threw their support behind now-Senator Raphael Warnock. In doing so, they not only reshaped the landscape of their sport but also left an indelible mark on the course of U.S. politics.
Presented by Prime Video Sports, “Power of the Dream” is a collaboration between Industrial Media, Trilogy Films, Joy Mill Entertainment, and TOGETHXR. The documentary is spearheaded by a talented team of producers including Dawn Porter, Sue Bird, Nneka Ogwumike, and Tracee Ellis Ross. Porter, known for her compelling storytelling, will also serve as the director of the film.
Featuring firsthand accounts from key athletes such as 4-time WNBA Champion Sue Bird, retired WNBA-star Angel McCoughtry, and Layshia Clarendon of the Los Angeles Sparks, among others, “Power of the Dream” promises to offer a poignant and insightful look into a pivotal moment in sports and politics.
