Prime Video Sets Premiere Date for I’m a Virgo [TRAILER]

Amazon Prime Video has announced the premiere date of their highly anticipated coming-of-age comedy, I’m A Virgo. The series, created, written, and executive produced by filmmaker Boots Riley, stars Emmy-winning actor Jharrel Jerome in the lead role of Cootie.

The show promises to be a darkly comedic and fantastical joyride that follows the journey of Cootie, a 13-foot-tall young Black man living in Oakland, California. Having grown up hidden away, Cootie immerses himself in the real world and discovers its beauty, contradictions, and challenges. Along the way, he forms friendships, finds love, and even encounters his idol, a real-life superhero named The Hero, played by Walton Goggins.

The talented cast of I’m A Virgo includes Brett Gray, Tony-nominated and Obie-winning actor Kara Young, Allius Barnes, Olivia Washington, Mike Epps, and Carmen Ejogo. The series features original music and score by the art pop duo Tune-Yards.

The Amazon Original series will be available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world on June 23.
