Prime Video Renews ‘Upload’ For Fourth and Final Season

UPLOAD SEASON 4

Prime Video has officially ordered the fourth and final season of the sci-fi comedy series “Upload.” Created and led by Emmy Award-winning writer Greg Daniels, the show has gained a strong following with its unique blend of humor and futuristic themes.

Season Three of “Upload” rolled out weekly episodes from October 20, 2023, concluding with a gripping finale on November 10, 2023. The announcement of the fourth installment brings anticipation for fans worldwide, set to premiere in over 240 countries and territories on Prime Video.

“Upload” is set in a technologically advanced future where holographic phones, self-driving vehicles, AI assistance, and 3D food printers are commonplace. In this world, death is not the end; instead, individuals can be “uploaded” to a virtual reality afterlife, experiencing all the luxuries of a world-class resort – for those who can afford it.

The series boasts an ensemble cast, including Robbie Amell as Nathan, Andy Allo as Nora, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha, Kevin Bigley as Luke, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, and Owen Daniels as A.I. Guy. Greg Daniels, Howard Klein, and Jeff Blitz serve as executive producers.

“I’m thrilled to share that Upload will return to Prime Video for a fourth and final installment. We are grateful to Greg and the fantastic team behind the series, and while goodbyes are bittersweet, we know that the series will be uploaded to its well-deserved idealistic after-life,” expressed Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios.

Greg Daniels, the creator, writer, and executive producer of “Upload,” expressed his excitement about concluding the series on his own terms. “When I conceived Upload many years ago, I had the story arced out over four seasons, so I am thrilled to make the ending the fans deserve and the characters and creative team have been working towards.”

The decision to wrap up “Upload” comes as Daniels gears up for a new take on “The Office.” Daniels has been actively involved in various projects, including the Steve Carell Netflix comedy “Space Force” and Bandera Entertainment, the animation company he co-founded with Mike Judge.

As the series nears its conclusion, details about the final season remain under wraps. Cast members, including Robbie Amell, Andy Allo, and Allegra Edwards, have hinted at their expectations for resolving the previous season’s cliffhanger.
