Dito Montiel’s crime comedy film, “Riff Raff,” has started production in New Jersey, featuring an ensemble cast of acclaimed actors. Four-time Oscar nominee Ed Harris, Lewis Pullman, Miles J. Harvey, and Pete Davidson join previously cast Gabrielle Union, Jennifer Coolidge, and Dustin Hoffman.
“Riff Raff”, based on a script by John Pollono, follows the story of a former criminal whose life takes a chaotic turn when his old family unexpectedly reappears, leading to a long-awaited reckoning. The film promises a blend of crime and comedy, delivering witty and entertaining moments reminiscent of classic crime comedies.

Producers Noah Rothman from Canopy Media Partners and Marc Goldberg and Sarah Gabriel from Signature Films express enthusiasm for the project. Goldberg states, “We are thrilled to partner with the producers and Dito on this project; it embodies the type of crime comedies we grew up with – witty and entertaining. Not to mention the perfect cast that will bring these colorful characters to life.”
Adam Paulsen, Chris Dennis from Canopy Media Partners, and Christian Mercuri from Capstone are executive producers. Brian Cox, Mathew Lesher, Jennifer Coolidge, and Tiffany Kuzon also serve as additional executive producers. Signature will continue international rights sales at the EFM after launching sales in Cannes, with Capstone handling domestic rights alongside CAA Media Finance and WME Independent.
