Gabrielle Union, Ed Harris, Jennifer Coolidge, Bill Murray, and Pete Davidson Bring Dark Comedy and Dysfunction to ‘Riff Raff’ [TRAILER]

Get ready for a wild ride that’s part family reunion, part gangster showdown, and fully chaotic. Roadside Attractions and Grindstone Entertainment Group just dropped the first trailer for Riff Raff, a dark comedy that mixes family drama with gun-wielding gangsters and awkward holiday get-togethers.

Gabrielle Union (The Perfect Find, Bad Boys II), Ed Harris (Pollock, Westworld), Jennifer Coolidge (The White Lotus, American Pie), Bill Murray (Rushmore, Ghostbusters), and Pete Davidson (The King of Staten Island, Bupkis), Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick), Miles J. Harvey (The Babysitter), and Emanuela Postacchini (The Seven Faces of Jane), star in Riff Raff, a dark comedy blending family dysfunction, high-stakes tension, and plenty of chaos.

Vincent (Ed Harris) is a reformed criminal who’s built a peaceful life with his wife Sandy (Gabrielle Union) and their son DJ (Miles J. Harvey). They’re spending a quiet winter break in their family cabin before DJ heads off to college. But that peace is shattered when Vincent’s estranged son Rocco (Lewis Pullman), his ex-wife Ruth (Jennifer Coolidge), and Rocco’s girlfriend Marina (Emanuela Postacchini) show up uninvited. Their warning? Gangsters Leftie (Bill Murray) and Lonnie (Pete Davidson) are coming for them—armed and ready for revenge.

Directed by Dito Montiel (A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints), Riff Raff premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, earning buzz for its dark humor and tangled family dynamics. Montiel calls it “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? but with guns,” a fitting description for the explosive tension and biting dialogue that runs throughout the film.

Riff Raff hits theaters on March 7. Watch the trailer below and get a glimpse of this family reunion gone very wrong.
