Ryan Michelle Bathé and Morena Baccarin are set to co-lead an untitled bank heist drama pilot for NBC.
The project hails from Nick Wootton and Jake Coburn; Julie Plec’s My So-Called Company; and Universal TV, a division of Universal Studio Group.
The yet-to-be titled bank heist pilot centers on a criminal mastermind, Elena Federova (Baccarin), who orchestrates a number of coordinated bank heists throughout NYC for a mysterious purpose. The sexy and twisted heist show reveals how far some people will go for love, justice and the most valuable commodity in the world: the truth.
Justin Lin is directing the pilot based on a script written by Wootton. Lin and Andrew Schneider executive produce via Lin’s Perfect Storm Entertainment. Wootton will also executive-produce, along with Jake Coburn and Julie Plec with her producing partner Emily Cummins at My So-Called Company. Universal Television is the studio.
