‘Sherri’ Canceled After Four Seasons as Daytime TV Continues to Shrink

Daytime television continues to slim down its lineup. Sherri Shepherd’s syndicated talk show Sherri has been officially canceled after four seasons, according to Variety.

The series, produced and distributed by Debmar-Mercury, will conclude following the 2025–2026 television season. The company confirmed the decision Monday, noting that the move reflects broader shifts within the daytime TV market rather than any issues with the show itself.

In a joint statement, Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus emphasized that Sherri had recently found its creative footing and praised Shepherd’s role as host, adding that they plan to explore opportunities for the show on other platforms.

Sherri aired across multiple major station groups, including Fox TV Stations, Nexstar, Hearst, Sinclair, Gray, Tegna, and Sunbeam, and taped out of Chelsea Studios in New York. At one point, Fox executives referred to the series as a key part of their daytime lineup.

The show debuted in fall 2022, stepping into time slots previously occupied by The Wendy Williams Show, which ran for 13 seasons. For Shepherd, the series marked a new chapter following her tenure as a co-host on The View, further cementing her place in daytime television.

The cancellation comes as the genre faces continued contraction, with fewer syndicated talk shows able to survive amid changing viewer habits and programming priorities.
