Jamie Foxx Extends His Legacy with Fox Entertainment Studios

Jamie Foxx is keeping the momentum going with a fresh multi-year first-look deal at Fox Entertainment Studios. Under the agreement, his production banner, Foxxhole Productions, will develop and produce scripted and unscripted content, giving Fox first dibs on his scripted projects and exclusive rights to his unscripted ventures.

Foxx’s long-standing relationship with the network has been solidified over the years. He currently co-hosts Beat Shazam with his daughter Corinne and executive produces the hit procedural Alert: Missing Persons Unit, which is heading into its third season. His ties to Fox go all the way back to In Living Color, where he first gained widespread recognition from 1991 to 1994.

“We are ready and excited to kick-start this very promising new creative partnership with Jamie,” said Fernando Szew, president of Fox Entertainment Studios. “Jamie is a renowned multifaceted talent, so as a studio, we want to support his tremendous creativity with access to the full scope of our genres, formats, and brands.”

With an Oscar, Grammy, and multiple box office hits under his belt, Foxx’s new partnership ensures his creative presence continues to thrive across multiple entertainment spaces.

Lee Daniels Stays with 20th Television for Multi-Year First-Look Deal

Lee Daniels isn’t going anywhere—the visionary filmmaker has signed a new multi-year first-look deal with 20th Television, continuing his decade-long relationship with the studio. Under this agreement, Daniels will develop and executive produce comedy, drama, and limited series for linear and streaming platforms through his production company, Lee Daniels Entertainment.

Daniels has been a key creative force at 20th Television since 2015, co-creating and executive producing Fox’s Empire and Star, as well as Our Kind of People and ABC’s reboot of The Wonder Years.

“Daniels’ storied history with our studio spans over a decade, where he created culture-defining series and characters that helped redefine an era of television,” said Karey Burke, president of 20th Television. “He’s an incredibly unique and talented visionary, and we are truly looking forward to our next chapter of collaboration with him.”

Daniels’ new deal arrives as first-look agreements continue to gain popularity, allowing creators more flexibility while ensuring studios maintain strong partnerships with top-tier talent. Fresh off the success of Netflix’s The Deliverance, which spent three weeks on the streamer’s global Top 10 chart, Daniels is also an executive producer on The Ms. Pat Show, heading into its fifth season at BET+.

With Foxx and Daniels securing these high-profile deals, the future looks bright for their continued impact in the industry. Stay tuned for what’s next!
