Sterling Sulieman Joins Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Supernatural Romance ‘Thud’

Sterling Sulieman is joining the cast of the upcoming darkly comedic supernatural romance Thud, which stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as the Grim Reaper and Rudy Pankow as the Devil.

The film has added seven new cast members, including Piper Curda, Sujata Day, Sulieman, Steve Agee, Karan Soni, Dot-Marie Jones and Katie Parker. Character details for the new additions are currently being kept under wraps.

Directed by Mali Elfman from an original screenplay by Noga Pnueli, Thud follows the Grim Reaper and the Devil as they arrive at a three-day destination wedding with plans to cause chaos — only to find themselves unexpectedly falling in love.

The film, which recently wrapped principal photography in Los Angeles, is produced by Derek Bishé and David Grove Churchill Viste. Executive producers include Radio Silence’s Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, along with Helmstreet Productions’ Lindsay Helms and Joel Nevells, Divide/Conquer’s Greg Gilreath and Adam Hendricks, Dan Lawler and Pnueli.

For Sulieman, the role continues a growing run of projects across film and television, including his recent appearance in Scrambled. The actor has also appeared in series including Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries.

With a premise that blends horror, romance and comedy, Thud brings together a cast of genre favorites for a supernatural love story about two forces of darkness discovering something neither expected: a connection.
