Cory Hardrict joins Coke Daniels' Karen movie opposite Taryn Manning who stars as the titular character. Coke Daniels is writing the indie thriller that centers on Karen White (Manning), who believes that races should stick to their “own kind” and carries this belief into her neighborhood. When a black family moves in next door, Karen will do anything to get rid of her new neighbors. However, the neighbors who are card-holding members of the Black Lives Matter movement aren't going without a fight and they will fight till the very end. Hardrict will star as Malik, Karen's new neighbor. He is a community activist in Atlanta dedicated to his wife, Assata, and fighting social injustices. He and his wife will face Karen head-on because don’t have time for antics and aren’t going down without a fight. Things such as selling lemonade, birdwatching, jogging, the list, unfortunately, goes on. Manning is producing the Karen movie with Daniels and Craig Chapman. Burke Management Firm founders Vanzil Burke and Victor Burke will serve as executive producers. Hardrict’s film credits include Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper and Gran Torino. As well as Battle Los Angeles, Netflix’s Brotherly Love in which he starred opposite Jessie T Usher and Keke Palmer. He also starred in The Outpost, which he also executive produced. Up next, he appears in Sean McEwen’s crime drama, The Dougherty Gang. Hardrict is repped by Buchwald and attorney Karl Austen. The film is currently in pre-production with a 2021 release date.
