Michael Che to host a sketch comedy show for HBO Max. The sketch comedy show will consist of six original episodes that will cover a variety of themes or incidents. Topics will range from police brutality to falling in love. The show will use sketches and vignettes to illustrate these experiences from a black point of view. READ: 11 Surprising Boyz N The Hood Facts You Didn’t Know About Michael Che, Lorne Michaels, and Erin Doyle will executive produce the Untitled Michael Che Project. “I’m really excited to be working on this show with HBO Max,” the Saturday Night Live Weekend Update host said. “It’s a project I’ve been thinking about for a while and we have a lot of sketches we want to shoot so please wear your masks so that we can go into production.” The streamer said the show was less about being “right” and more about being honest, even at the risk of being controversial. "Micheal brings a distinct comedic perspective as he illustrates the uncomfortable truths across multiple topics,” said Suzanna Makkos, Executive Vice President of Original Comedy and Animation for HBO Max. “We look forward to sharing his unique vision and necessary point of view with our audiences.
