Taye Diggs, Zatima’s Sydney Mitchell, and The Oval’s Moritz J. Williams are teaming up for Another Man’s Wife, an indie romance drama that explores love, sacrifice, and the price of survival.
Directed by rising filmmaker Viere NiBlack-Gray and written by Briana Cole, the film follows Brendan (Diggs), a wealthy man who makes a life-altering proposal to a married couple in crisis — Maya (Mitchell) and Shawn (Williams). The couple is financially devastated and caring for a terminally ill parent when Brendan offers a deal that blurs the line between survival and betrayal.
As the official logline puts it: “What begins as an act of survival spirals into a high-stakes emotional reckoning about trust, love, and the ultimate cost of sacrifice.”
The project recently wrapped filming in Atlanta and is executive produced by Doug Schwab of Maverick Entertainment and J. Carter of Freeli Films.
Diggs, fresh off Lifetime’s Terry McMillan Presents: Forever, is set to return in the network’s upcoming McMillan adaptation His, Hers & Ours as part of an ongoing franchise collaboration with the bestselling author. He’s also headed back to Broadway this summer to join the cast of Moulin Rouge!
No word yet on a release date, but with a powerhouse trio at its center and an emotionally layered story, Another Man’s Wife is shaping up to be an indie gem.
