Taylour Paige Among 4 Added to Cast of Boots Riley's Film ‘I Love Boosters’ for NEON

Taylour Paige, known for her breakout role in Zola, is joining an already impressive lineup in Boots Riley’s latest feature, I Love Boosters. The cast is a powerhouse, featuring names like Keke Palmer, Naomi Ackie, LaKeith Stanfield, and Demi Moore, all set to lead this ambitious project produced in partnership with NEON.

Joining them are Baby Driver’s Eiza González, Hacks star Poppy Liu, and Will Poulter from The Bear. With production kicking off this fall, the cast and concept are generating major excitement.

I Love Boosters dives into the lives of “boosters”—savvy shoplifters who are gearing up to take down a cutthroat fashion mogul. While details about the plot are still largely under wraps, it’s clear that Riley’s unique storytelling flair will be in full swing.

NEON is financing the film and has acquired global rights, handling the U.S. theatrical release and international distribution. Known for bringing bold, thought-provoking films to the big screen, NEON’s backing of I Love Boosters hints at another thrilling release. In addition to Riley, producers Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett of Ryder Picture Company (RPC) are at the helm, along with Allison Rose Carter and Jon Read from Savage Rose Films. The executive producer team includes Mike Jackman, Gus Deardoff, Ken Kao, and Josh Rosenbaum from Waypoint Entertainment.

Riley, celebrated for his socially-driven debut Sorry to Bother You and recent Amazon miniseries I’m a Virgo starring Jharrel Jerome, is once again diving into the fringes of society with his signature mix of satire and sharp social critique. In I Love Boosters, he’s tackling the elite world of high fashion through the eyes of those who disrupt it—a perfect setup for Riley’s unique perspective and wit.

Fresh off a $75 million box office success with Osgood Perkins’ horror film Longlegs, NEON continues to solidify its reputation in the indie world. Along with I Love Boosters, NEON has an impressive slate lined up, including Sean Baker’s Anora and Mohammad Rasoulof’s The Seed of the Sacred Fig, signaling a dynamic year ahead for the studio.

With this lineup of talent and a storyline steeped in Riley’s distinctive lens, I Love Boosters is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting indie projects in the works.
