FX announced that “The Bear” will be returning for a second season on Hulu on June 22. The Chicago-based restaurant dramedy, starring Jeremy Allen White as Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, follows a young chef who takes over his family’s Italian beef shop in Chicago after his brother’s suicide. The series also features Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Edwin Lee Gibson, Abby Elliott, Corey Hendrix, Matty Matheson, Richard Esteras, and Jose M. Cervantes.
In season two, the restaurant is set to reopen as The Bear, and the storyline will be centered on its reopening. The second season will consist of ten episodes, two more than the first season. The show was created by Christopher Storer, and the executive producers include Joanna Calo, Josh Senior, Hiro Murai, and Nate Matteson.
Bob Odenkirk will be a guest star on the show, and Molly Gordon will have a key recurring role. A teaser trailer for the second season, which was released during the 95th Academy Awards, shows the kitchen staff packing up their belongings as they prepare to relaunch the restaurant. FX captioned the teaser on social media: “It’s not a reopening, it’s a rebirth.”
After its debut, “The Bear” became FX’s most-watched half-hour series and earned accolades from the Screen Actors, Writers, and Producers Guild Awards. Additionally, Jeremy Allen White won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Series, Musical, or Comedy. The first season is currently available to stream on Hulu. Fans of the show are eagerly anticipating the second season and are excited to see what new challenges and adventures await Carmen and his team.
