‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Season 4 Trailer Puts Mickey Haller on Trial as Netflix Teases the Series’ Most Explosive Season Yet

Netflix has released the official trailer for The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4, and it’s clear the series is entering its most volatile chapter yet — because this time, Mickey Haller is the defendant.

The trailer opens with a chilling declaration from Mickey (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo):
“Every murder case is like a tree… I’m the man with the axe.”
Moments later, he delivers the gut punch — “I’m being framed for murder.”

Season 4 picks up directly after the shocking Season 3 finale, where the body of Mickey’s former client, conman Sam Scales, was found in the trunk of his Lincoln. The evidence is stacked against him, and for the first time in the series, the slick defense attorney must fight to prove his own innocence while keeping his firm alive.

According to Netflix’s official logline, Mickey faces a relentless district attorney while working to expose the real killer, protect his reputation, and survive a system that suddenly has him in its crosshairs.

That prosecutor is Dana Berg, a ruthless adversary played by Constance Zimmer, whose reputation precedes her. Known as “Death Row” Dana, she’s not just another courtroom opponent — she’s someone with history, especially when it comes to Mickey’s ex-wife, Maggie McPherson.

And Maggie is back in a big way. Neve Campbell returns for every episode this season, placing her in an impossible position: helping defend the man she once prosecuted — and once loved.

Season 4 also brings back Mickey’s inner circle:

  • Becki Newton as Lorna
  • Jazz Raycole as Izzy
  • Angus Sampson as Cisco
  • Elliott Gould as David “Legal” Siegel
  • Krista Warner as Hayley Haller

New cast members joining the pressure cooker include Sasha Alexander, Jason Butler Harner, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Jason O’Mara, Javon Johnson, Kyle Richards, Scott Lawrence, and Cobie Smulders in an undisclosed role.

Co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez describe Season 4 as the most personal and emotional yet, emphasizing that the stakes have never been higher because “now Mickey’s the client.” The trailer backs that up — balancing courtroom warfare, psychological pressure, and the slow unraveling of a man who’s always stayed one step ahead… until now.

Based on Michael Connelly’s novel The Law of Innocence, the season sees Mickey and his team racing to dismantle Sam Scales’ final scam while battling the DA’s office, the FBI, and ghosts from Mickey’s past.

All 10 episodes of ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Season 4 premiere February 5 on Netflix — and if the trailer is any indication, this trial may leave no one untouched.
