Tracy Morgan’s next chapter in The Neighborhood universe is almost here. Crutch, Paramount+’s multi-camera spinoff, will premiere Monday, Nov. 3, with all eight episodes dropping at once.
The comedy stars Tracy Morgan, Jermaine Fowler, Adrianna Mitchell, Kecia Lewis, Adrian Martinez, Braxton Paul, and Finn Maloney, with guest appearances from The Neighborhood’s Cedric the Entertainer, Tichina Arnold, and Max Greenfield.
Morgan, who previously appeared as Calvin’s younger brother Curtis, now returns as Frank “Crutch” Crutchfield, Calvin’s cousin and a brash-but-beloved Harlem shop owner whose life is turned upside down when his adult kids move back home.
The Cast
- Jermaine Fowler (Superior Donuts) is Jake, Crutch’s Ivy League-educated son who leaves a lucrative legal career to provide affordable services.
- Adrianna Mitchell (Snowfall) is Jamilah, Crutch’s free-spirited daughter who returns with her two kids.
- Kecia Lewis (Tony Award winner, Hell’s Kitchen) plays Antoinette, Crutch’s meddling sister-in-law who acts as the family matriarch.
Launching With a Crossover
To mark the debut, Morgan will also appear in a special episode of The Neighborhood on Nov. 3 at 8/7c on CBS. In “Welcome to Family Value,” Calvin (Cedric the Entertainer) calls on his cousin Crutch for a flooring deal, but Crutch insists on traveling to L.A. to handle it himself — driving Tina (Tichina Arnold) crazy and exposing an unexpected emotional side.
Behind the Scenes
Created by Owen Smith (The Last O.G.), who also serves as showrunner, Crutch is executive produced by Cedric the Entertainer, Eric C. Rhone, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling, Mike Mariano, and Tracy Morgan. CBS Studios produces, with Paramount handling global distribution.
Tracy Morgan’s Busy Slate
In addition to Crutch, Morgan is set to star in NBC’s The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, executive produced by Tina Fey. If both shows are renewed, he’ll continue to headline them simultaneously.
