In the climactic finale of Season 3, the apocalyptic threat was thwarted, but at a great cost—the Hargreeves family lost their powers. The upcoming season will delve into the siblings’ struggle to adapt to their new, ordinary lives. Showrunner Steve Blackman shared insights with Entertainment Weekly, explaining that the central theme of the final season revolves around the characters adjusting to their newfound normalcy. “The first place I started with season 4 was: What happens if you were once a superhero and then suddenly you’re not?” Blackman stated.
The first look poster and teaser trailer offers a snapshot of the siblings stranded by the roadside, a metaphor for their current predicament. And despite their predicament and while some are unbothered or nervous they still head towards danger on a rescue mission. The final season will see the return of the beloved main cast: Tom Hopper as Luther, David Castañeda as Diego, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison, Robert Sheehan as Klaus, Aidan Gallagher as Five, Justin H. Min as Ben, and Elliot Page as Victor. They will be joined by series regulars from the Sparrow Academy, including Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, and Genesis Rodriguez, among others.
