Tiffany Haddish, Percy “Master P” Miller, and Bella Thorne are set to star in New Orleans–set crime thriller Motion. Haddish will also produce the film under her Sheready Productions banner.
Tim McCann (White Rabbit) is attached to direct from an original script written by Miller and Tim Ogletree. Production is slated to begin in New Orleans this winter, with additional casting expected to be announced in the coming months.
While plot details remain under wraps, the project is described as “an ensemble fueled by colorful characters navigating a journey of wild crimes, set against the backdrop of the underground racing subculture in New Orleans.”
Shaun Sanghani (The Fallout) will produce through his SSS Entertainment, with his Syndicate label handling world sales, including at the American Film Market later this fall.
Financing comes from SSS Entertainment and SSS Film Capital, alongside Haddish and Sheready Productions. Bannor Michael Macgregor will executive-produce with American Picture House Corporation, while Syndicate partners Jeffrey Giles and Michael Lurie are producing in association with Full Armor Films.
Master P, who rose to prominence as the founder of No Limit Records, has previously appeared in films like Foolish and I Got the Hook Up.
